) Alright, so here’s the deal… the old web-hosting site that I used to upload the video had the annoying habit of deleting my files if I didn’t log in to said site in a given amount of time. Sorry if I left all you guys hanging. However, I’ve uploaded it to another sharing site that doesn’t delete files, and it should be up there for a while. Now, this link should work. www.steekr.com OK. That should work… should… — My first “real” music video. Clips from the DS9 episode “Sacrifice of Angels”. It’s basically a battle montage. Oh, I should have mentioned the name of the song I used, and a lot of you have asked. Sorry about that. The song goes by many names, the better-known one being “Lux Aeterna” used in the movie Requiem for a dream. It was composed by Clint Mansell. Hope that helps.

I both love this and find flaws with it. DS9 is the show that tried to paint Star Trek in more realstic tones, away from the mightier then thou attitude of TNG. But it never managed character development like B5, nor could it manage the operatic levels of intenstinty found in B5. But I did notice how DS9 tried to up it’s game with fleet actions, but it was limited by it’s own mythos. The Federation didn’t really have fighters like B5, and those assault shuttles are a poor fill in.

Requiem for a Dream + Sacrifice of Angel = win for me. The written text was great too, except I dont picture Klingon, that were not suppose to be there (in the plan), saying yippikayyay moth……..er.
No matter how many times I see it. I get excited seeing the galaxy class ships taking on that Cardassian ship. Now that is what I call team work. LOL
The scale as in number of ships was certainly impressive, but the fact that each ship is only firing a single phaser at a time despite their size and that there is hardly any background activity somewhat lessens the effect. I would be far more impressive if every ship on screen was engaged, not just those in the foreground + one or two more.
@TheRealityJack ya, I noticed that too, but it looked like it came from the Defiant to me. well, it their fault for getting in the way.

@fpsBeaTt While disusing the situation on the Defiant’s bridge in the actual episode, when the Destroyers go off chasing the fighters creating the hole in the Dominion fleet, Bashir points out that “it’s a trap” to which Kira adds “look at those Galors”. Sisko, then orders the Federation fleet to punch through no matter the cost and make their way to DS9… while ordering “Galaxy wings 91 and 93″ to engage the Galors.
Galaxys ARE insane… but Sisko gave the order; he’s pretty nuts too!
Went back and rewatched this episode. The music in this video is not in the episode… and that made me sad. This video is such an epic compilation of that battle, the original edit from the original episode simply doesn’t do itself justice.
